A green screen allows you to choose any background. No green screen offers backgrounds - the software on your computer does that part. But it needs an evenly colored surface to do that and because green stands out from "human" colors, your software is more effective at keeping you clear.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Virtual backgrounds are a function of the software you use, such as Zoom, so this screen, in that sense, works like any other. Which is to say any green screen will only provide the screen. Whatever communication/streaming/recording application you're using should be able to provide virtual backgrounds, which work way better using a green screen than without one. I bought this a couple of months back, and I've been really happy.
