do electric skillets make the countertop hot null

My counter does not get hot, however, my counter top is granite

They do give off heat that will make counter warm directly under the unit, but nothing that is an issue to be concerned about. The legs keep the unit away from direct contact with any surface so that air can circulate underneath.

During a renovation of my kitchen, I used it on my wooden kitchen table & it didn’t heat up my table. It doesn’t sit directly on the table. The feet of the skillet keeps the cooking element off whatever surface the skillet is sitting on.

My formica counter top got very hot and remained hot for at least 10 minutes (well after the skillet cooled off) with a low 250° cooking temp setting. I recommend using a cutting board or something underneath. I don’t believe there was a faulty heating element but..,??????

No, it does not get the counter top hot. I have had at least 2 different name brands and neither got the counter top hot. Love this Elite Gourmet fryer with the textured inside it cleans well and heat element works great. Hope this helps!
