I have been drinking my coffee and tea out of white mugs for over 30 years now and never before have I seen a mug stain as badly as my white Ember mug. I always wash it out after every use and even when I use a sponge with an abrasive side, I have to scrub it really hard and stains still remain. The result is now that my mug has terrible scratches on the inside where the white enamel has worn away. My understanding was that this mug was chip resistant, durable and hard- wearing. I have returned the mug to the supplier and would like to replace it with another colour….my question is….which colour is best? Do the others stain as badly? Which colour is most durable and most scratch resistant?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It absolutely stains. I hand wash my white mug after EVERY use and it has become discolored. I’ve tried all the method to clean it and it’s stuck. Would not recommend the white mug if this matters.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I bought a white and a black one........and after 2 weeks the white one is stained......not a problem for me......that happens with any light colored mug......but the black one is my preference due to hiding stains.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The white mug gets stained easily and this even if I followed cleaning instructions. For the price, this is disappointing
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 2 14 oz white Mug2's. For sure they stain, and fairly quickly. I always wash by hand. Get a different colour. We also have the grey, black, blue and copper. None of them stain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree with others, the white mug does stain even when following the directions. I always soak immediately once I'm done drinking from it. Use a non-abrasive soap, gentle brush... and in fact I came across this form googling how to get the stains out of my mug. I thought maybe there might be some trick like vinegar to get them off. Interestingly, when I was picking a color my husband said don't get the white, it will stain. And I said no way, I'm sure they though of that, made it not so. But apparently not!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Put a dishwasher tablet in mug, fill with water and leave over night the stains are gone by morning. I do this every Sunday night. I drink black tea throughout the day and have a white Ember mug. I rinse and clean the mug between refills. Yes wasn’t my choice of colour I personally would have chosen black. It was a gift Always go for the black mug haha
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I gave a white one to my mom from Christmas. She says it stains but I don't know how she has tried to clean it or what the cleaning instructions are for the cup. She does love the product, though.
