Charger charges the controllers fast. When my controllers are completely dead, it takes no longer than 1-2hrs. to be fully charged up again. After they are fully charged it last me a week or more to be charged again BUT this also depends how often you are using XBox controller.

The dock has smart charging technology so it only charges enough for the battery to reach full capacity. If I run a controller all the way down, it may take an hour or so for a full recharge. Battery use with a headset lasts easily around 6+ continuous hours.
