The cost depends on where you purchase from and of course look for the "special buys" and sales. Ultimately you will pay a little more compared to the common alkaline battery but the Ultimate Lithiums keep a charge much longer. One of the major online retailers offers a 20 pack of AAs for $29.99, which is about average regardless of where you purchase. In comparison, a 20 pack of Duracell's Coppertop AA alkaline batteries can be purchased for $13.99. So, your looking at about $1.50/battery for the Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA and about $0.70/battery for the Duracell Coppertop alkaline AA. I hope this helped.
