- Answer It will help to reduce the smell of cigarette smoke. If you are looking for a purifier to be used in a room with active smoking, then we would recommend a purifier with activated carbon.

- Answer There is no fan on this style of air purifier and that is what makes it silent. It releases negative ions into the air which cluster particles together. The blades are positively charged which draws the clustered particles back into the purifier and collects them - similar to how a magnet works.

- Answer To reveal the panels to wipe clean, press the button at the top of the unit. It took me a while to find this - it's not in the instructions. Make sure it's unplugged & follow all other instructions.

QuestionWhat is the difference between this model and the Turbo? Both say clean 500 sq ft

- Answer While I have not seen nor have I used the "regular" version, I do have the turbo. It is so quiet, you can't hear it. I purchased it primarily for the use of dust, allergens, pet (dog) related dander, shedding, smells, and the square footage coverage (500 sq.). I can say it has made 100% difference in all things I mentioned. It is easy to clean and no replacement filters needed.

QuestionI am getting ready to start using mine again. Do I need to order new blades? I do have a spare blade unit and they do get dusty after usage. Is this the same unit I have? Have to lay unit down to remove blade.

- Answer All you have to do is remove the blade from the unit, wipe it down with a microfiber cloth, and blow out the unit with compressed air. Once that's done, you reassemble and it works like new!

- Answer This product has been proven to remove all 3 major categories of pollutants (dust, pollen, and smoke) which includes particles smaller than 1 micron.

- Answer There is a very faint amount of ozone produced as a result of the ionic action of the air being passed thru a charged plate, but you will notice it as a clean air smell. Ozone would be bad to living organisms, but the ozone output is very low - as my eyes would be the first to tell.
