A:Answer Yeah, as far as I can tell, the answer the HP guy gave is incorrect. Thunderbolt3 is 40kbps, not 5. Also, when searching HP computers that support thunderbolt3, this one doesn’t come up in the list. So, there is some incorrect info going around on the usb 3.1 typeC. The lighting icon by the port is NOT a thunderbolt icon... it simply says “this port charges things”. HP should get their act together as far as customer support. I was also cut off mid sentence when trying to talk to their customer support “hotline”. I guess they only field the the calls that are easy. This is the very LAST HP product I will ever own. I also encourage all of you to look elsewhere for your computer needs.
