Since HP requires a sign in to use this $900.00 device, I am returning it. I highly recommend that everyone do the same. I don't use cloud period and wont be forced to by HP after paying close to 1000.00 for this printer. I am just glad that I still have the box that it came in. Send a message, that when paying major dollars for a device, we are uninterested in the manufacturer mandating that you provide your personal information or that you "join" their cloud group to use this device. Also, the retailer should be required to tell you about this feature before purchasing this HP device. Great printer, too bad, it is going back due to HP's arrogance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP forces you to sign in to scan. You can try and not sign in, but you will not be able to use the scanner. Terrible design.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, you cannot use the printer at all without logging into the "hp cloud services". horrible design. i'm literally locked out of the printer because i can't login to the "hp smart" app. lame!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is THE WORST. I WILL NEVER by a HP product again. You spend all this money and then they make you signup for another paid service just to scan! I regret this. Headed to staples.. ugh!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, download VueScan from hamrick.com and still i think that hp made a horrible move.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm pretty sure that there is a workaround to avoid the creation of an account. I'm looking for the article. If I find it I will send you the link ;-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Envy Pro 6475 printer does not have the ability to scan directly from the printer itself, therefore you need to utilize the HP Smart App which gives you a full menu of capabilites including scanning from your mobile device or computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no need to sign into your HP account to scan even though you may be prompted to do so. Just cancel the sign-in and the HP app should open to the main screen where you can select “scan”. I agree that it’s very annoying to have this screen pop-up needlessly. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
