- Answer It uses a PCIe NVMe Solid State. Like the Samsung 960 Evo. Careful not to confuse them with the m.2 or mSATA Solid State Drives, they look similar, but the pins are different.

QuestionSalesman showed us this HP Envy & said that it was easily capable for gaming thru Steam VR, since were in the process of buying an HTC Vive. Exactly how though, since we’re unable to get the Vive to work on it?(Err 306) Now it’s after the 15 day limit. :(

- Answer I believe if you go to the store with your receipt and speak with a store manager, they will allow you to do an exchange. You would need a much larger more powerful computer to run VR, specifically a Dedicated GPU.

- Answer YEs you can. ITs an M.2 drive, Just pull the bottom of the laptop off first to make sure the new drive will fit. or just use an external SSD drive which is what most do now days anyway.

- Answer bright enough to damage your eyes if you don't turn the brightness down to about half while indoors. Then again, after reading an article on blue light, I prefer to only use full brightness when I am outside in full sunlight.

- Answer I honestly just place mine inside my portfolio folder where its supposed to hold a tablet. Works fantastic and the size of this laptop is perfect for anyrtfolio that fits a 13 inch tablet.

- Answer HP employee is wrong. I just purchased and removed bottom myself. Soldered onto motherboard. Do not purchase if you want to upgrade ram. I also spoke with 2 different HP chat support agents who assured me it was user upgradeable as well. This must be on odd sku or something. Very disappointing and it cost best buy money die to my return.

QuestionI bought this laptop last week. I've had some issues with the trackpad not working properly. It'll be unresponsive at times, is this a driver issue that can be fixed or do I need to return my laptop? Also, it does get sort of hot...not sure if defective.

- Answer The drivers are total garbage from HP. Ryzen has huge potential, but not with extremely poor HP drivers. When I say poor, I mean extremely poor. It was non stop issue with this thing. I returned bought a boring but rock solid Dell G7 instead. Heavier and no touch screen or 2 in 1 but tons of power. If you want a 2 in 1, go Intel. Far better drivers. If you want a 2 in 1 with solid graphics, get one with an mx150 instead. Ryzen not ready for prime time with garbage OEM support.
