I just tried putting a 78 cartridge into my 1430 and it got stuck... so no, it is not compatible. I thought they were just the cheaper standard capacity versions (they look identical!) but apparently the 1430 only takes the 79 cartridges.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only had experience with the Epson Stylus Photo R280 series. The box that the ink comes in refers that it is also used in the Artisan 50. That is the only reference that I can make to any Artisan ink for an Epson Printer. I can not honestly say that I get good pictures from the ink I use in my Epson Stylus Photo R280, I get better pictures from my HP Envy 7640 All In One. I just mainly use my Epson printer to make copies when I am out of ink on my HP printer.
