What is a cartridge free printer null

This printer does not use ink cartridges; there are empty tanks that are filled with ink. Many people use this type of printer to do sublimation craft projects. Sublimation uses a different type of ink than what is used for printing. A word of caution, I believe using sublimation ink voids the printer’s warranty.
