By changing the default settings, the maximum size that can be scanned is A4 paper. This corresponds to the length of the glass minus 3/8ths of an inch. This is almost 3/4 inch longer than letter size. Changing the scan size is useful if your picture is being cut off during the scan. Otherwise, the default letter size is more convenient. Change the default scan size in the Epson Event Manager on the windows taskbar. Click on "Make Job Settings," then on "Detailed Settings for Scanning."
