Hi ASue, You do not need a computer to setup the ET-7700. You can use the front panel to initialize it and connect it to the same WiFi network your iPad Pro is connected to. See the Epson support site for details. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did initial setup wirelessly with a laptop. I think initial setup is supposed to be done with a computer, but in theory if you have a Windows or Mac OS on your mobile device and can download the installation software it should work. Either way you don't have to physically connect to the printer to set it up. It basically downloads what it needs on its own, but the software package has to be loaded on something. It notifies me if there is an update and downloads it using the control panel. You need Wi-Fi, though. So far all maintenance I've done is from the control panel on the printer. Once it is set up all you need is Wi-Fi and anything will connect to it that is on the network. I don't think you can connect with Bluetooth since my phone doesn't connect when not connected to my network.. i haven't hardwired anything to it yet.
