Epson programmed this printer to SHUT DOWN AFTER PRINTING 5000 PAGES. I agree that is it a very very shot lifespan and Epson PURPOSELY DID THIS SO THAT CONSUMERS MUST BUY NEW PRINTER! EPSON SHOULD BE ARREST TO THEFT!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was told by EPSON that it in fact shuts down and is not usable after printing 5000 pages and that I would have to purchase a new printer!

But the head and pad are getting so worn that I can't print photos anymore and all pages have some track marks on it. It's worth seeing if you can reset them.

I wish I had known that printing out small samples of stuff was counting against my printer's life. How ridiculous is that?! I loved this printer but almost $300 is a lot to pay for a printer to not last two years. So disappointed.
