QuestionCan you print without color cartridges?Are you able to still print in black and white if the color cartridges are empty? Or do you HAVE to put in new color cartridges to only print in black and white? I know some printers won't print at all if at least 1 ink cartridge is out of ink.

- Answer You can print in black only without the other colors. I have mine set on black only.

- Answer Yes. This printer works fine with Windows 10. I have Windows 10 Pro and all the software works fine, and the printer driver.

QuestionINK cost/efficiency of Epson-Ex.Pr. XP-630 All-In-One Printer ?I prefer paper over LCD screens and files. That being said, I'm not wasteful, BUT it is the cost of INK which is killing me. The C.... MP560 was on sale while the M.. B... P.. wasn't. I miss Steve Jobs. That C.... has cost me over $700 in ink alone. Wi-Fi died. I would like to make an educated decision instead of listening to the kid who didn't work at BB for long. Is this Epsom going to hammer the copier nails in the wooden box or leave enough in the wallet by saving me on the cost of ink? Serious question .... poor humor. Thank you.

- Answer I used this printer for college homework, and the printer is very efficient regarding the ink, which is around $10 per cartridge.

QuestionIs the XP-830 really 23.5 inches deep? It doesn't look at all like that deep, or is that with all the trays pulled out in the front and back?

QuestionNeed a printer that does not require internet connection to print photosI am looking for a printer that does not require an internet connection to operate other than the initial set up. We have access to one to do the set up but not for daily use. I am looking at the Epson XP-830 for printing photos.

QuestionIf I do not print any photos, will the printer also use some of the Black Photo cartridge ink, or will it just sit there and get old, and need to be replaced if the date on it becomes expired?

- Answer do not buy this garbage. It does not print when any ink cartridge is empty, even if you want to print in only black and have a full black cartridge

- Answer Yes it does and works quite well. You can load letter size plan paper in one tray and photo paper in the second try and the printer auto-detects the proper paper to feed. It also has a manual feed tray at the rear of the printer.

- Answer You can, but this has both wireless connectivity and/or you can plug a network cable to it and connect it directly to your home router and then anyone who connects to your network via wireless or network cable can print and/or scan to/from it. I have connected to my router and have wireless turned off so that the only devices that can print to it must first connect to my router. I can print from android phone, android tablet, and Windows PCs wirelessly and from my Windows desktop via wired network.

- Answer Yes, but we had to call either Geek Squad or Epson (can't remember which one) for help. They were very efficient & quick in helping us.
