We purchased a 8 foot wide screen with remote which we have had for a few years with an inexpensive projector. When we distanced the Epson projector to fit that screen it was a very sharp and crisp picture. We purchased a ceiling projector mount with side to side and front to back adjustability.

My picture is about 7 feet tall and 13.5 feet wide, and at 1080p, it looks great. This projector may have the ability to play video files from a usb device, but I'm not sure which file formats it supports, or if it has this ability in the first place. I recommend connecting another device via HDMI to play your video files. A PC would be best, and with this projector's low-latency, you'll be able to connect a mouse to the PC and navigate the screen without an issue. If you need a program to play video files, check out VLC. It's free and can play almost anything. If you don't have a PC, look into an android TV box.
