Q: QuestionWill using a fiber optic HDMI cable eliminate my handshake issues? It takes about 10 seconds for an Image to appear with a 35' HDMI active cable. Will a fiber optic cable be worthwhile? If so, how long might the handshake take to produce an image?

• A:Answer I use a 25’ optical cable between the receiver and my 5050 Ub projector. Upon first turning on the projector, it does take a while for the projector bulb to reach operational brightness, probably 10 seconds or more. All other remote commands are virtually instantaneous.

• A:Answer I would think so. Even without trying to figure out the size and ranges, this projector has such a wide range that I doubt there would be any problem. Your dimensions sound somewhat in he middle of the ranges and quite close to our home theater. It took a few minutes to figure out how to adjust everything, but then it fit just fine and looks great. This was after a previous attempt with a different brand that fit the distance but not the screen size at that distance.

From my research, it seems to be the most versatile option in the market for projector placement, which was one of the main reasons why I chose it for my theater.
