“Does anyone know the difference between the V800 & V850 other than price?”

• Main difference other than price is the resolution : V800 has 4,800dpi resolution while the V850 has the resolution of 6,400dpi. Another thing noticed, the V850 is working faster than the V800.

• the Pro V850 comes with 4 additional film scanners, the X-Rite i1Scanner with reflective/transparent IT8 targets, potentially better detail and color range and also scans a full 2 seconds faster per image than the V800

• I believe the only diff is the accessory package. The addtl accessories you receive cost several hundred dollars and are well worth it if you are scanning high volume. You can always buy the 850 and then purchase the accessories later or elsewhere.
