• Hello Marty. Epson uses ISO/IEC 24711 tests to determine page yield. A standard T822 ink cartridge set can print approximately 350 Black or 240 Color ISO pages. A set of T822XL ink cartridges can print approximately 1,100 Black and 1,100 Color ISO pages. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

• Mary, the XL version lasts so much longer then the other one— the regular version. I love using the T822XL one myself. It saves turning around and having to reorder. It lasts so much longer and I have never had any of the ink dry up before use, even when at times my Internet service wasn’t able to connect and I couldn’t WI-FI print for over 2 months. My ink was in great condition when I was able to print again.

• The XLs will last longer (print more) before they need to be replaced.

• The xl holds more ink for the black ink since it’s used more than the color. The color is regular not xl.
