It handles images okay. I think a 500 or 600 series in the same line would work far better as those other models are designed for images and photos. This model (400 series) is much better for text documents.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi j710er, The ES-400 II is a document scanner. The optical resolution is 600 x 600 dpi, which the included software can interpolate to 1200 x 1200. You would get better results and higher optical resolution from an Epson Perfection photo scanner. Epson photo scanners do not have document feeders, so originals must be placed on the scanner one sheet at a time. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
