- Answer Hi AV. You would need to connect the Epson WorkForce ES-50 scanner to a computer using a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 cable. The ES-50 does not support scanning from an iPhone. Regards, Bobby - The Epson.

QuestionWill this work to scan color photos to an Apple Laptop? I understand it needs to be plugged into the laptop but can I send the scanned photos to an external hard drive?

- Answer Yes. You can use this with an apple laptop that runs one of the following operating systems: macOS 10.12.x macOS 10.13.x macOS 10.14.x You can save to whatever location you want. The user manual, available on the Epson website, says that you can scan photos as long as you use the included carrier sheet.

QuestionCan this scan postcards or is it just meant for standard paper size? How about thick paper?

- Answer Yes you can scan postcards and photos. The photos will come out in color. Since it is a single sheet feeder, the thickness of the paper should not be an issue because it's a single sheet. I scanned a thin refrigerator magnet without a problem.

- Answer Not directly, but you can save photo scans to a folder which you have set up to automatically sync to Google Photos (separate concern from scanning).

- Answer Hi iphoner, The ES-50 does not have Bluetooth or wireless capabilities. The scanner is powered by its USB connection, so your Apple device will not work. Epson scanners that include a "W" at the end of the model name are wireless and will work with your iPad or iPhone as long as they are on the same 2.4 GHz WiFi network.
