“It looks like the XL cartridges won't work in the 3720 based on your description of the cartridge but not based on the printer description Will the xl work or not? I don't want to buy only to get it and find it won't fit in printer”

As far as I know they only have black XL cartridges and I just put one in my printer. The color slots are narrower
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not recommend buying the Epson WF3720. I have had it for almost a year and have had nothing but problems. Ink is way too expensive and Epson puts a lock on using remanufactured ink cartridges. Print quality isn't that great either. My suggestion, look at other printers.

My only question is since they cost twice as much as the standard capacity cartridges, do they provide twice the amount of ink?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't changed the ink yet, but I have a large amount of printing to do next week. So I ordered from Best Buy the 702XL cartridges. It has 1 XL Black and 1 each of the colors. The color cartridges are not XL. This is all I could find. You can order individual colors as needed. If you look at the slots for the color ink it doesn't look like it will take an XL cartridge. I have done 2 sided printing on the 3720 and it works great. It will cut down my time on the project I have to do.
