A:AnswerIt will print both sides but you will have to choose this function in the menu that comes up when you print a document. You do not have to turn the page manually. There may be a very brief delay before it prints the other side as it waits to let the ink dry on the fist side.
A:AnswerIt does come with small starter cartridges BUT black does not last long and it doesn't give you much time once you get the notification that it is low on ink before it shuts down printing altogether (screen notification appeared on a Thursday - Printer was not used Sat. & Sun and by Monday it would not perform any printer functions). All non-printing function are still available. Best to go ahead and pre order full ink cartridges to have on hand before ink runs out.
A:AnswerThe printer will work with either Macs or PCs. You need to download the appropriate latest printer driver software from Epson when you are setting up the printer.
A:AnswerNot necessarily. It depends on the type of setup you are trying to accomplish. I did a wireless set up and did not need to use a USB cord. However it is an option in the instructions booklet, if you want to go that route.
A:Answeryes. I do it all the time. You can print cardstock double sided if you like. You can tell the machine it is thicker paper. Every once in a while it has a hickup and you have to remove a jam, but that is not often.
A:AnswerI think it's pretty reasonable. A single color cartridge costs about $9 and you can get a C-M-Y three-pack for about $25. Individual cartridges are more cost-effective than printers with a single combo cartridge where you pay $35 for it and have to change it when any one of the three colors runs out!
A:AnswerIf you wish to print only black and white, try looking at the window that comes up when you go to print a page. Look for black and white print options or you can look for "color' options in this same window and choose "grayscale" or black and white depending on your computer but this window is from the printer driver software. Most printers use combination of inks when printing, even when printing black and white along with color on the same page. You should be able to choose only black and white however and you may also be able to choose this mode as your "default" print mode. You can save even more ink by using the "draft" mode but I find that the print is too gray and difficult to see when I have done this with Epson printers.
A:AnswerIf your Apple iPad Mini has wi-fi capability, then yes. You will just need to set up the software from the printer. All of that is included in the box, and it is really simple to do - very clear and concise directions.
A:AnswerYes, it can print on standard envelopes. You have to load in the paper tray without any other paper - it shows you how to orient them. Then tell your software you are printing on envelopes so it understands the size and orientation.
