There is a sliding bracket that fits into the passport body. Has 4 different settings that allow you to keep it level, depending on the slope of your windshield. On that sliding bracket are 2 suction cups that hold onto the windshield. Works real well for me.

The best place for my Solo is the upper left side of windshield by (by driver's door). I have used Solo for years; this is my third one. I just gave my older one to my husband for his truck.
