As for recording depending on your camera settings, you can set it to record for a set duration (determined in settings), when it senses motion or sound. Again, through settings. No 24/7 recording if that is something youre looking for. Most retail cameras do not support 24 hour recording due to battery consumption amd storage options. If you're loooking for a 24/7 option, you'll want a CTV and DVR setup, which is probably the better option for your use case.
