Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Regular tap water works just fine. Detergent allows for deeper and better mopping of possible dirty surfaces (kitchen floors). We use detergent for now, and the floors are spectacularly clean.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You use regular tap water, but the S1 Pro has a separate soap dispenser that it mixes to the water for mopping. The soap comes with the unit and once depleted, you are expected to change it with a new detergent canister. I have only owned mine for 2 months and have not used up the detergent yet so cannot comment if it will allow you to continue to mop without it.' There is no setting for mopping solely with water.
