No. I have 2 outdoor 2k cameras, indoor 2k cam, door lock and doorbell cam and have no home base. All the devices connect to my router and I access them with eufy security app that allows me to access all of the devices. That being said, my 2 floodlight cameras only have a permanently fixed internal memory of 4gb each, making gobs of video storeage not possible. I can usually store about a months worth of clips at a time. The floodlights will auto delete the oldest files to make room for the new. The doorbell has an expandable memory of up to 32gb, and the indoor cam is the same. There is also cloud storage you can pay for but it’s not necessary. I think there are some cameras and smart devices eufy makes that require a home base, but not all. Read the fine print. There is also a new homebase 3 out that has the ability to expand memory. Uses some sort of bio smart tech that I’m not familiar with as opposed to AI. It also apparently has a better encryption for security. The only thing that concerns me about the base is that the cameras connected to it rather than your Wi-Fi, basically making it so that you better centralize your homebase in your house. As opposed to having a Wi-Fi router with extenders.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Eufy cameras must have a Eufy HomeBase. This is how you communicate to the cameras and where the videos are stored. Without the Eufy Homebase the External Cameras are useless.
