A:Answer To be very clear, yes this will work even when the "internet" connection is down or lost. However, there are specific requirements. To operate as stated without "internet" connection:
1. Chime unit must be powered on.
2. Doorbell must must be powered on.
3. Customer Wi-Fi router must be powered on.
4. Wi-Fi connection must be stable between Wi-Fi router, doorbell, and chime unit.
5. For customer to interact, such wired/wireless device must have stable connection to same Wi-Fi network or LAN of customer Wi-Fi router as chime/doorbell.
* An "internet" connection provides for the customer to connect remotely, from outside of Wi-Fi/LAN network.
