Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While I don't have or have ever seen an Alienware x51 R2 in person, from the manual and web-site giving the specs of that desktop it will indeed work. It looks like it supports full sized (Nvidia 980ti) type cards so this card being half the size in length will work, and should be a good upgrade if you have an older card in that system.

I did a quick google search and it appears that your particular PC is a bit cramped for space. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2472294,00.asp If your PC is like the one in the link I just posted you would also need to upgrade your power supply. The power supply that is listed in the x51-r2 is only 150w. The GTX 750 Ti requires a 400w power supply. "To access the X51-R2's cramped interior you have to remove one screw and push the side panel backwards, but be careful not to rip out the lighting cable while doing so. There are no open slots for adding expansion cards, nor are there any vacant drive bays. However, there is room to replace the single-slot graphics card with a double-slot GPU, but the 180-watt power brick may limit your choices." So you may be able to install it but would also likely need to put in a new power supply. I have a mid sized tower and the card took up quite a bit of space. I was actually surprised by just how large the card itself is. I had to tie up some of the power cables with zip ties to keep them out of the way. Hope this helps.
