The only way to know if it will fit, is to check the specs on that computer, because it's relevant to the actual size of the case. Or you can open the case and measure the inside of the case to see how much space you have to work with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I remember correctly the case used for the XPS 8300 should accommodate it. However be sure to replace the power supply that came with your Dell. The wattage of the factory PSU will be too low. And honestly Dell uses cheap power supplies. And the GTX 970 needs at'least a decent quality 500watt unit. Best Buy has a decent deal on the EVGA 500WB for $48. And they have a Thermaltake Smart Series 650 Watt (SP-650P) for around $60. Just make sure not to buy the Thermaltake TR2 Series. The Smart series is of much better quality. But the cheaper EVGA 500B unit will work fine. It's a good quality unit too.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would need to go to this product's specifications and do some measuring to determine that. Right off the bat though I can see that the specs for that PC comes with a 460W power supply unit (PSU) and the card has a recommended 500W PSU. I upgraded my desktop from a 300W to a 600W. The benefit I had was that it's gotten quieter.
