I know this is months later - but thought I'd post what I discovered. I contacted Fisher & Paykel. The model number on the trim kit has not changed at all. So yes - the trim kit will work. We have a DCS microwave from 2004 with trim kit installed, and the microwave needs replacement. We're getting their current 24" F&P model that should work just fine with no adjustments to trim kit or cabinetry.
