The Fitbit Alta is an upgraded version of its Flex wristband activity tracker. Fitbit Alta has next-generation Fitbit features. The sleek design is comfortable to wear and the OLED screen tells you the time when you left the device up to read it. The Alta also provides call notifications, text messages and calendar reminders from your smartphone via Bluetooth.

Please try again later.In my opinion, having owned both, the two main differences are the bands that don't look like junk after a couple weeks (Flex), and obviously the screen to see time/date/steps/etc. It's not a touch-screen, but "tap" screen for lack of a better term. You tap it to wake it up and cycle through the various stats. It will go several days before recharging, but the charge doesn't last as long as the Flex because it has to power the display as well if you turn it on a lot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Both are basic trackers for steps, sleep, calories, and water intake. The Alta also has a watch so you don't have to wear a watch and a tracker, and I find the clasp easier to use. The charger set up also seems more secure.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wear the Alta in the shower. Since I wear the Alta 24 hours a day it is automatically tracking my sleep. I like the "celebration" that I see and feel when I meet my goal. The Alta receives alerts (texts) from my phone.
