Yes. I had a Charge HR fall apart on me, too. I bought a HR2 and the strap is much better. It's split into two halves and they both hook into the watch body with metal connectors. It seems to be of a much higher build quality. I'm loving it so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know how long the original band would last if it were the only one I used. You can change bands and purchase other types of bands with the charge 2. Right now I have two bands that I switch between but I'm planning to purchase two more.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In my opinion, my charge hr band has held up nicely to everyday cross training,weights and cardiovascular workouts. Haven't had any issues with it.
