Make sure that you swing your arm as you ascend the stairs. Otherwise, it acts as if you just went up in an elevator or an escalator. If you slide your fitbit hand along the railing, it may not register.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to go into the app and program it for floors!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does calculate after awhile! It took about a month! But it does in time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think thirteen steps is a flight of stairs - less than that will probably not show up - but will accumulate until you hit thirteen?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find that mine will do that sometimes but tends to be because I have not walked up/down enough stairs. There must be an internal limit on how many stairs will equal one flight of stairs. At my house I have 13 stairs and it won't count one flight until I have gone up and down and up again. Good news is that it must keep track of the number of stairs throughout the day because if I have gone up/down steps later in the day it will flip to the next number once I have reached the limit. Sorry I can't be specific on the limit as I have never counted to see. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have also noticed this; it seems to only count 1/2 for the stair until you return up (or down). Now it does also give you credit when you are out in nature walking/climbing around, as I had a pretty good stair count after a walk in the mountains.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would contact the Fit Bit customer service because I do nothing different for stairs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try really exaggerating your arm movement. I accidentally do this from time to time when I walk and it records stairs climbed...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Fitbit Charge also and it alerted me the first day that I had gone up 10 floors. It uses altimeter to measure changes in altitude. It has nothing to do with your speed. Here's the information. It's possible that you may need to contact Fitbit for some technical troubleshooting as it should be tracking this. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-does-my-tracker-count-floors
