It is water resistant. I believe the specs say up to 50 meters.

Actually it is waterproof. I sometimes take a shower wearing my Fitbit and it’s still good. This is my 3 Fitbit and I have showered and swim with it and I have no complaint. I had an Alta, Versa and now Versa 2. I am very happy with this watch and it does what it supposed to do. Highly recommended.
