• A:Answer The FIXD.com website says that “ FIXD works with all gas-powered cars and trucks built after 1996 and diesels built after 2008.” It works on my 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited so, it should work on your Mercedes with no problem at all. I LOVE mine! It even gets me a way to find the closest mechanic on the premium subscription.

• A:Answer Sorry but, no, it doesn’t work if the engine isn’t on. The scanners have to be able to “read” your engine and that can’t happen if it isn’t running.
