“Do you have to have a special coffee brewer to use K-pods or do they work in any coffee brewer?”

They seem to work on any k pod brewer. I've used 3 different brands.

You have to have a coffee machine/brewer that accepts Keurig K-cups. This is not something you use in a regular ole coffee pot brewer if that's what you mean
