A:Answer LG has two filters, a water filter and an air filter. It may be difficult at times to find the units on the BestBuy site, but if you type in the model number and air filter you should be able to find the unit. Most brick-and-mortar stores do carry it in stock as well, usually in the appliance section near the vacuums, etc. I'm not sure what it actually does as we use a 'traditional' baking soda box in the fridge to take care of odors.
