- Answer The unit is set to recirculate back into the room, however it is able to be converted to externally vent and can be done by the installer when they install it.

QuestionWhat is the difference between FFMV164LS and FFMV164LSA? Cannot be just a letter "A" difference :-) The model I have is FFMV164LSA, purchased and installed a few years ago and it stops working now. I want to replace it with FFMV164LS, not sure if OK.

- Answer Hello, Thank you for inquiry. Below I have included instructions of how to setup your defrost cycle. -Setting Defrost (by Weight): 1. Press Defrost pad once. 0.0 will appear in the display. 2. Use the numeric pads to input weight of food to defrost in pounds (10 = 1lb.) You may enter any weight from 0.1 to 6.0lbs. 3.Press START/+30sec. pad. -Setting Defrost (by Time): 1. Press Defrost pad twice. 0:00 will appear in the display. 2. Use the number pads to enter desired defrost time (defrost time may be set up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds). 3.Press START/+30sec. pad. Thank you.

QuestionAre the dimensions of this product similar to the FMV156DCC Frigidaire model?I already have a FMV156DCC Frigidaire over the range microwave but it is falling apart...literally and would like to find something similar in dimensions so there won't have to be many changes to the area where my current microwave is. - Answer I don't know if this will help, but I replaced a Frigidaire PLMV-168 and didn't even have to change the mounting bracket on the wall. The location of the three large bolts through the bottom of the cabinet above the microwave changed a few inches.

- Answer Yes, this unit features a charcoal filter and a 300CFM exhaust fan. So, depending on how the venting is set up in your house it can either exhuast smoke out of the kitchen, or recirculate it though the filter and out the vent at the top of the unit. Thank You, Frigidaire
