Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this model, FRA125CT1, and model FRA126CT1?They are both 1200BTUS, price is the same, have the same features, and look the same. What am I missing?

• A:Answer Model FRA126CT1 has a remote thermostat feature, which means that the thermostat is in the remote instead of on the unit. The thermostat is on the unit for model FRA125CT1.

Q: QuestionWhy can't this unit be put in a thru-the-wall opening?I read on Q&A that this unit will not work on thru-the wall,can you tell me why.I have a bedroom 5000 BTU & living room 8000 BTU that are both window models,and seem to work just fine thru-the -wall.I want to replace the 8000 BTU with the 12000 BTU unit / 3" clearance on each side of the unit inside the wall?How critical is the clearance between the AC's side vents and the side wall inside the wall? Opening is 24.75 W X 14.875 H X 21.0 D. THANKS IN ADVANCE

• A:Answer Thank you for your question! We apologize for the delay in response. For optimal performance of the unit, we recommend this it be used in a window. Frigidaire also offers a full line of models designed to be mounted in a sleeve installed through-the-wall. The "Through-the-Wall" units must be installed with a wall sleeve and an exterior grille and possible a drain kit to lead away any condensation. Our models come designed to be mounted to these sleeves (our models can fit into any competitor sleeve using an available accessory). A window air conditioner cannot be installed in a wall sleeve in an efficient manner. Also, the window air conditioners "breathe" through the sides of the unit, while a Through-the-Wall, again because of its design only breathes through the back.

• A:Answer It's s standard plug for 110v. It does have 3 plugs, though, 2 normal and 1 for the ground, so you need the 3-hole outlet.

• A:Answer Due to the unit needing support from the top in order to stay in place, it is recommended that if it is going to be installed in horizontal window something must be place above the unit to assist in holding it in place. Thank you, Frigidaire

Q: Questionturns off at 75 temp..i have the Frigidaire - 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White Model: FRA125CT1...and when i change the temp. to 75 and higher the unit remains on but the air stops flowing and the fan stops..this happens 10-15 minutes after changing the temp...can someone explain this..thank you for your time...

• A:Answer There are a lot of factors that determine usage including number of windows, amount of sunlight, outside temperature, etc. The unit that you are refferencing is good for up to 640 sq ft, but if you think it is not working properly you can call 1-800-FRIGIDAIRE and they can help you diagnose further. • A:Answer Yes, that is basically what it does, however the fan does cycle on and of even when it is not cooling. I've copied the full explanantion on the Energy Saver mode from the instruction manual below: In the energy saver mode, the fan will continue to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. Thank You, Frigidaire

• A:Answer For a 900 sq foot multi room apartment I would recommend multiple units. No need to aircondition your main living space when you are sleep in the bedroom. Plus cool air will not reach all the extended rooms very well if say the doors are closed or there is poor airflow between rooms
