Yep...Mine is noisy too. My old Crosley was quiet as a mouse. Wanted to upgrade to an upright.. Never dreamed that a new freezer, in this day and ag, would be so noisy. Called support and they told me it had to be this way because of "mandated government laws". It is supposed to be louder than my dishwasher or washing machine! When running it is about 55 decibels. I think that is unacceptable since it's located in a quiet room where my desk is. Next freezer...(Pretty soon) will have to be plugged in before I purchase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this over a month ago, my other Frigidaire is a chest manual defrost which doesn't make hardly any noise; all frost free models will be noisier than the manual models; nature of the beast. So it will be noisy empty or full.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey, Diane51! Your freezer is designed to produce certain sounds while in use. I recommend reviewing page 12-13 of your Owner's Manual for your freezer's normal operating sounds. I hope this helps! -Courtney
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is some noise to the freezer empty or full. The motor has to move and thus it will vibrate. I find the noise to be comencerate and not an issue to me.
