I also have Frigidaire model lfwc18t6lb that started making a beeping noise... I tried to unplug it but was unsuccessful in recovery... I found a YouTube video that literally saved me MONEY!!! I did not have to buy any new parts or purchase a new wine cooler.... However, I also did not have any previous problems within the 7 years I have owned it... I HIGHLY recommend trying the solution I located on YouTube: https://youtu.be/y2MBaAf1iSs. I hope if there is anyone who has had this similar issue with their Frigidaire that they give the above link a view and attempt its process before purchasing any new parts or replacing their wine cooler. Thanks!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had the same problem after a short power outage. Watched the suggested YouTube from 1/1 and followed the simple instructions and everything started working. I'm very grateful to the person that did the YouTube video, he saved me a lot of trouble and money. Thanks!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Has similar issue with this cooler. After losing power had Dead controls - wouldn’t light up, show temp, etc. however no chirping sounds either. I could hear some noise from the bottom fan but top zone fan was not running. Removed back panel, found bottom fan spinning very slowly. Followed instruction in previous answer and unplugged only the negative wire for the top fan from the top control board, and bottom fan immediately came back to normal speed. Plugged negative wire back into top board and top fan is running too. Reproduced fault by unplugging cooler from wall and went back to same problem. Unplugged evasive fan wire from top board again and resolved again. . Because this unit has a bunch of screws to remove in order to get the back cover off I Made it easier to rest going forward. There was plenty of wire bundled up between the fan and board, so I was able to cut the negative wire, feed both ends of the cut through one of the vent holes in the back cover, and connect them again outside the unit using insulated terminal connections. Now, if the power goes off I can reset it just by reaching back and unplugging/replugging the terminal connection without having to take the back panel off. At some point I might get a reset switch to replace the terminals, ut it’s working fine as is. I also keep the unit plugged into an old spare ups because power here can flicker when nobody is home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.had the same here: unplugged, re plugged, would not restart. opened the back panel. Bottom fan was spinning, but "slowly" and only red light on. Top fan not spinning, no lights. I fixed the issue by step by step plugging back 1. power (card may do funny noise because no load on it) 2. controller (the other card may turn "green" now - both cards must be present for the controller to work) 3. thermostat (the green light turns on) 4. cold fan (cold fan starts - may see it from inside the fridge) 5. warm fan (warm fan starts) 6. Neg of cooling element 7. Pos of cooling element (card stops making noise) (see attached picture) i purposely then unplugged the fridge , and re-plugged it. same fault again. applied the step-by-step above, and it works. Seems the power surge at simultaneous start is a bit too much to handle... while all is open in the back, take a second to blow out the dust on the warm fans and heat sinks. Cold fan is clean because inside the fridge, no need to disassemble the cooling unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a totally different Frigidaire wine cooler. When I did my research for my next wine cooler and found this post by Megs. The trick worked so well. Thank Megs for sharing. It saved me $150 for buying another wine cooler.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did what answer 1/1 suggested and worked perfectly. I made the mistake of replacing the 2 fans and now it makes more noise than before, but it works.
