• yes It does you just cant use a device to turn it off and on but it stills works fine.

• The WiFi feature is disabled out of the box so if you don't need it (I would buy a different unit if you don't need wifi, you'll save a lot of money) just don't turn it on and it will work fine with the included remote. My old Frigidaire remote actually works with this new unit as well but that wasn't expected.

• The ac doesn't need the wifi to work, it's just an added bonus. I wouldn't buy this unit if you do not plan on using the wifi/app feature.
