1). Remote sensing links the remote to the a/c unit so that it will use the temp at the remote location to determine if a/c should keep going or stop 2) set you options to not use Econ feature that will make compressor turn on and off as temp set is reached. Without Econ on unit will stay on in at least fan only mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will shut on and off in Eco mode as the room cools down. If this is bothersome to you while you’re sleeping, select the Cool mode instead and it will run continually. You may want to select a lower fan speed to minimize the sound. The highest fan speed setting can be quite noisy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t like my new Frigidaire. I don’t know if June had the same problem while it was turning on & off but mine would turn off or on at the most unusual times. For example if I had it set for 68 the temperature in the room would be 77 before the ac actually turned back on. This is my second Frigidaire at over $800 and I regret buying it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote senses the temp in the room and the unit will turn off once the temp is met. I think if you set the fan to high or low and not auto it will keep the fan running even when temp is met.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.econ mode will make it (the fan) turn off at around the set temp. Also the remote sends a signal to the unit that can't be blocked by anything. Even a pillow, blanket or a person can block it. These are good but noisy units. Frigidaire could do better.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't normally rely on these extra bells-n-whistles gadgets to determine if I am comfortable in my own skin. I am happy enough with the air conditioner itself. My new Frigidaire 8000 btu window unit cools about 400sf of space in my hot, top floor, NYC apartment from my LR all the way back to the kitchen. I keep the bedroom closed in the day, and use my other unit in there at night. I like how this ac unit"remembers"my settings each time I turn it back on. I haven't used the remote much yet. I know what it's is SUPPOSED to do, but am putting off trying to set it because, like I said, I'm happy enough with it each time I walk up to it to turn it on. This is NOT"garbage"as others claim it to be. Believe me, if you set it to 60 degrees and the thing can bring your room down to 69, it's either doing really great, or you probably didn't even need the air conditioner in the first place. I have mine set to 75, and the room cools down to 80, -just as I'm sure all my other units probably have in the past. I can say this because I took the remote into the bedroom one night when that unit was running and I got a reading of 80 in there too, and I've been comfortably sleeping like that for about 20 years. What these units do is is cut off the compressor if it reaches the set temperature AT THE UNIT, -not in the center of the room. The remote will change your"on unit"settings to it's own default setting, or to whatever setting you used on the remote last, so i'd rather not confuse myself yet since this ac unit is only 5 days old so far., ...yet, so good!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is my 4th Frigidaire A/c, bought 2 months ago. and has all the fancy stuff, with remote control. It can’t do nearly what the older units can do, as far as cooling things down. What a shame. Very disappointing for this company, and even more for me, who spent the money on a brand new one. Would have been better off getting an old used one on craigslist or marketplace.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My A/C I can’t get the comfort sense to stay off on mine. But my sons is fine and we just got them today 5/18/2022 and now I’m gonna have to take mine back for another one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi June! Remote sensing allows you to control the air temperature if are located within 20 feet & 120° radius of the front of the air conditioner. Also, if your air conditioner turns on and off, it sounds like you may have it in the energy saver mode.
