I purchased this unit and can state the following: Ive only had the opportunity to use the oven myself, I didnt notice that the fan operated during the cooking process, however after the oven was turned off I heard the fan kick in. Please note, I wear hearing aids in both ears and heard the fan without them in. There are two warnings I can state for you, before you order make sure they actually have the product in stock, after I ordered and paid in full, I was informed that it wasn't in stock, three months later it was finally delivered. The second thing I found disheartening about was the location of the broiler. Traditionally, I was used to the broiler being in the bottom under the main oven compartment. The space on the bottm is just a drawer to be used for pot storage? The draw is hard to use as it difficult to use normally (hard pulling out and uneven when trying to close. The broiler is electric and located at the top of the oven, you should put the oven rack at the top position to broil. I hope this is helpful to you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, Jan! Thank you for reaching out. Convection cooking uses a fan to circulate hot air around the oven and food. It browns food more evenly and reduces hot spots in the oven. Also, the convection fan will turn on in preheat and then cycle on and off as needed during baking.
