- Answer Hello, just bought this unit for a sealed crawlspace with about 1000 sq feet. It is ideal for that size. Anything bigger you might need the Frigidaire 70-pint. That thing is a beast!

QuestionFrost SensorIs there a "frost sensor" with either the 50 pint or 70 pint models?. My current unit frosts up occassionally. It is in the basement and the temperature is 60 degrees of higher. I want to avoid the problem.

- Answer I've copied the below note out of the use and care manual for both units: The unit is designed to operate between 41 °F (5 °C), and 96 °F(35 °C). The unit will not work properly if the temperature is out of this temperature range, or the performance of the unit will fall greatly. You should not have any issues if your basement temperature stays around 60 degrees, as that is well within the temperature range for these units. Thank You, Friigidaire

QuestionI just went through hurricane IAN and I rent my house it flooded and rental company isnt helping me so my friend let me borrow hers. I run it for 2 hours at a time in each room. Is that ok to do? Or should I give it a break in between?

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry, based on what you have described we have listed below reasons why this may be occurring. •Windows or doors near dehumidifier are open to outdoors. Close all windows or doors to outside. •Area to be dehumidified is too large. Check with your dealer to see if capacity is adequate. •Air movement through dehumidifier is blocked. Grill may be dirty. Use brush attachment of vacuum cleaner to clean grill. See “Care and Cleaning“. Dehumidifier must be placed in a space that does not restrict air flowing into the rear coil or out of the front grill. •Dehumidifier has been installed or restarted recently. The higher the moistuire in the room, the longer the dehumidifier will operate. •Dehumidifier is in the CONTINUOUS mode and will remain on in this mode, use the humidity button or knob to set a RH% higher level. If the reasons listed above do not pertain to what you are experiencing, please contact us directly so that we may further assist you. -Best Regards-
