I'm not sure of the cubic feet. I have it in a finished basement that is about 1000 SF and 3 separate rooms. It works fine if all the doors are open, but it won't work pulling moisture from a room with the door closed. They say for it to work most efficient to put it in a room and close that door...but I found it works fine for the whole basement with all doors left open to the rooms. 1000 SF by 10 foot ceiling so about 10,000 cubic feet. I have the 50 pint dehumidifier. But when we were at about 90-95% humidity I had to empty it every 12 hours or so. Now that the basement is about 50% humidity I only need to empty it every 2-3 days.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found that it works best with all the doors open and it works great for a 700 square foot space. It says it works for larger spaces but I haven't tried. My apartment went from smelling musty to having no smell whatsoever. Hope that helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We placed our 70 pint dehumidifier in a basement with an adjoining crawl space. It seems to be doing a good job removing the humidity, but it runs a lot. The entire area is about 900 square feel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm using my 70 in a 900sqft area and it's doing a great job.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a story and a half. There does not seem to be an issue. We previously had a 30 pint, 65 pint. When I had to manually dump, there would be icing over.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not clear what you mean "with the door closed" on the adjoining room, but I have a very large basement (full length of 2 story house) with a crawlspace, and my 70 dehumidifier is doing an outstanding job! I hope that helps. I have several boxes packed full of my mother's things and it's working around those, but I would think you would need this "adjoining room's door" open if they are connected. I can't find the answer to your question in the manual, but I would google it or call the company with your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the instructions say that the doors must be open. It is most effective in a closed area.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My basement is 700 sq ft with 3 rooms all the rooms have been dehumidified with this dehumidifier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have two Frigidaire 50 pints units for a 4200 sq. ft. Ranch style home and we keep them both in the basement. They handle all the humidity in our home! So I would say if you have a basement, keep them downstairs and if not wherever is best for you. They will pull the humidity from the house no matter where they're located. I hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.check different products, pretty much any 70 pint will do the same room size. and no it will not much affect the next room unless the door is left open and I don't recommend that . (burned up the unit)
