Hi RJL! A 70 pint dehumidifier with a wet dampness level is recommended for 700 square feet. A very damp or wet dampness level is recommended for 1000 square feet; while a slight or moderate dampness level is recommended for 1500 square feet. We hope this helps! –Thanks!-
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Really depends on the moisture level, whether or not you have a drain, and feel OK leaving the machine running when you are not home. Attach a hose otherwise you will be dumping the 70 pint twice a day. Unplug if you are not home (my fire advice for all DEHUMIDIFIER brands). My prior FRIGIDAIRE died in just under a year, but FRIGIDAIRE paid me back in full under the 1 year warranty Other DEHUMIDIFIER brands require you to ship back in original box. So I gladly stick with FRIGIDAIRE.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As I recall, it said 1700 square feet when I purchased it several years ago. We used it for 2300 square feet for the first floor of our home and it worked like a champ. Had multiple times each day to empty the water pulled out of our air....
