Questionwhat size hose do I get to connect to this for continuous drain?

- Answer This unit has a standard 3/4 garden hose type connector so any garden hose will work. It just has to be long enough to reach the drain or pump. I attached a photo of mine. Works great! Hope that helps.

QuestionI place the humidity setting at 50%, but sometimes the setting drops to 45% on its own. Is there some way we can prevent it from doing this?

QuestionUnit has stopped and shows a "CE" message. What is it?

- Answer Hi WDB! Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. In researching, we were able to locate a similar message "EC". Typically, an “EC” message is dealing with the operating conditions. The outlet voltage should be 115V±10% and the surrounding temperature should be within the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. You would want to unplug the unit and plug it in again under the normal operating conditions. This can assist with the “EC” message you are receiving. QuestionWe set up our new unit, & it appears to be running fine, except for one issue: there is condensation all along the exterior of the hose that drains the water. The hose is wet on the outside, & occasionally this moisture drips onto the floor. Suggestions?

- Answer I have 2 of these units purchased a year + apart. Im no expert but i believe the fan kicks on periodically to test the humidity levels. Sometimes the compressor follows and sonetimes not but humidity levels stay at what the unit is set for and has kept levels at the setting for years.

QuestionMy HEN70ETFP Does not pump as it should. I have to empty the bucket several times before it will start pumping. The unit is level and the pump discharge hose is not clogged. The pump discharge hose does not rise in elevation relative to the unit.

QuestionMy unit will not turn off when I push the power button. The only way to get it to shut off completely is to unplug it. The fan stops when you turn it off but something is still humming inside the machine when it is off, but still plugged into the wall.

- Answer Great question, MG! The surrounding temperature should be with in the range of 41 °Fahrenheit to 96 °Fahrenheit . If the room temperature is below 41 °Fahrenheit (5 °Celsius) the dehumidifier will not operate satisfactorily. We hope this information answers your question and was helpful to you. -Ciara

QuestionWhen set to 45% the humidity climbs to 56% before the unit kicks back on. Seems like a large swing. I expected a more consistent reading. A swing of more than 10% seems too much ?

- Answer Hello, Neil! Thank you for stopping by! The dehumidifier fan cycles on and off to test the moisture in the room, to maintain the set RH%. The setting may need to be changed to a higher RH%, and also depends on the tool that you are using to measure the humidity level in the room. -Katrina
