A:AnswerYes this device needs to be able to exhaust the hot air, trust me, it gets warm on that end. If you don’t then that warm air and cold air would be the same as if u didn’t have the portable ac
A:AnswerI do not think it should.
I have another air conditioner that did the same thing.
I increased the temperature a couple degrees and it has been fine. The air conditioner may have been over working...
A:AnswerI have been running mine for two weeks now and I have not had any issues with needing to drain it. I believe if you run the dehumidifier that is when it will require drainage.
A:AnswerA vent in general is needed for ALL portable AC units. Where else is the hot air its trying to remove going to go? That said, this unit comes with a window attachment that adjusts for most sliding windows. If you have crank style windows that swing out or plan to use it in a sliding door, you'll have to buy or make a kit yourself.
A:AnswerNo more than 15’ the fan is not powerful enough to exhaust the hot air out more than that. Also the heat coming off the exhaust pipe will heat back up your room. I recommend a dryer Exhaust reflective pipe.
A:AnswerMight not fit but you can get stiff insulating foam board at your local hardware store/ Home Depot & cut it to fit around the hose & plastic & put that in your larger window.
